Pipestone Place Assisted Living for the Elderly offers a Distinguished in Care alternative to institutional facilities. While large facilities are good for some folks, more families are realizing that there is an option for greater level of care and supervision which is important for a residents suffering with Short-Term Memory Loss and confusion. Pipestone Place is not a Locked Alzheimer’s Unit.

Close Supervision does matter

Close supervision can be hard to find. Using residential home in a quiet, upscale communities, we provide a more intimate setting for a small number of residents. The resident to caregiver ration is more than double that of a large institutional setting. Every resident receives personal attention and assistance tailored to their specific needs. No residents is “lost in the crowd” or left behind a closed apartment door to fend for themselves.

Who Are Our Residents?

Our residents are all unique and in their own special way. No two residents are the same but some general characteristics are seen. Most of our honored residents are Moderate to Advanced Stages of Short-Term Memory Loss. They are more confused and are not as ambulatory as a locked Alzheimer’s Unit. About a third of our residents require eating assistance. Most of our residents require incontinence care. All of our residents require some level of Dressing, Showering and toileting care. Since we focus on the Moderate to Advanced Stages of Short-Term Memory Care, residents and families don’t feel bad or guilty when their loved one says or does something silly or does something childish. We are in it together.

Resident Rates

  • The Monthly rates at Pipestone Place starts as low as $2,500 for a semi-private room and $3,000 for a private room.
  • Resident levels of care vary and are dependent on care needs and room accommodations. This way you don’t get charged for extra services not needed. Everyone is unique.
  • Fees are normally significantly lower than Nursing Homes and Large Assisted Living facilities.

Driving Directions

Our prestigious facility is located in the North Central Suburbs of San Antonio. Take Highway 281 (North from 410 or South from 1604) to the Thousand Oaks Drive exit. Exit East on Thousand Oaks Drive and continue for 0.7 miles. Turn Left on Ledge View Drive and Left again on Parkstone Drive and a Right on Pipestone Drive. The facility is located on the corner of Parkstone Drive and Pipestone Drive.
